Memorial Day

A Memorial Day weekend wouldn't be complete without our traditional upstate trip to the farm. Matthew is proving to be a true farm kid, just like his older siblings.

Matthew is One!

Here are the pictures from Matthew's birthday bash last night. He was loving all of the attention, opening presents, and his blue cake! The past year has flown by and it was so much fun celebrating this special little guy!

And a few videos to show some of the fun!:

Matthew's First Easter

I said it before at Christmas and I'll say it again for Easter, there's something so special about a baby's first Easter! Matthew thoroughly enjoyed Easter Sunday, from getting all dressed up to trying his first chocolate bunny. Here are some pictures, including one with his Uncle Luke, who joined us for the special day after he celebrated his Masses.

Matthew's First Christmas

We enjoyed a wonderful two week Christmas vacation as a family. With Michael working lots of hours beforehand, it was such a special time to have together. Unfortunately we were fighting off a terrible flu-like sickness for the first week but felt well enough to fully enjoy Christmas and time visiting family afterwards. Thankfully, Matthew fought off all of the germs like a champ. Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and Day! More updates to come, I promise!

Matthew's First Thanksgiving

This year we were so thankful for Matthew! We celebrated Thanksgiving (and big brother Maximilian's 2nd birthday!) with my parents and siblings and my brother-in-law and were happy to host this year. Matthew seemed to enjoy himself but definitely became overwhelmed at some points with the action. It's neat to think that just one year ago when I was pregnant with him, that I said I was thankful for this little guy in response to the traditional, "What are you thankful for?" question. I gotta admit, it's so nice to see him on the outside this year instead of being pregnant like I was last year. ;-)
